TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All Products sold are made by Sheila’s Home Baked Creations and are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
ABOUT
Sheila’s Home Baked Creations is a home bakery operating under Wisconsin’s Cottage Guidelines. As such no home kitchen inspection is required, nor is any licensing. Sheila’s Home Baked Creations adheres to proper handwashin, hygiene, and sanitation to ensure items are made in a clean and safe environment. Every item produced is considered shelf stable, though weather and other environmental factors may warrant refrigeration to maintain freshness structural integerty, and appearance of the item(s).
INGREDIENTS
All baked goods made by Sheila’s Home Baked Creations, including fillings and icings, may contain or come into contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, nuts or other allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform Sheila’s Home Baked Creations prior to the confirmation of their booking of any allergy issues. It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform their guests of all allergy information and accordingly the Supplier will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the baked goods.
All products are made to be eaten within 2 days for optimal freshness. Some items may last longer sitting out, however proper storage is highly encouraged. Proper storage includes placing baked goods in an airtight container and subsequently in the refridgerator or freezer as appropriate.
CUSTOM QUOTES
All quotes for custom orders are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
ORDERS
Sheila’s Home Baked Creations requires at least ten (10) days notice for most orders. If availability permits, Sheila’s Home Baked Creations may accept short notice orders.
Any images used as inspiration will be followed as closely as possible, however, it will NOT be an exact reproduction of the product in the picture or photo.
Decorating skill and styles can be seen in gallery product photos.
ORDER ACCURACY AND REVIEW POLICY
It is the customer’s responsiblity to review the order confirmation to ensure all details are correct. The order will be made exactly as shown on the order confirmation, not based on any verbal discussions.
If there are any typos, omissions, or errors in the order confirmation, the customer must contact Sheila’s Home Baked Creations immediately and reference the order number located on the invoice to make necessary corrections. Any unreported discrepancies may result in the order being made incorrectly, and Sheila’s Home Baked Creations will not be held responsible.
PAYMENTS
All orders placed via sheilashomebakedcreations.com requires full payment at checkout, except for certain subscription packages as outlined in those specifc descriptions.
Any custom quote will result in an estimate being sent via Square. The estimate, if accepted, will generate an invoice that must be paid in full within 3 days to secure order booking.
Some special orders may qualify for a deposit with final payment due prior to work starting on the order. Sheila’s Home Baked Creations reserves the descetion to allow deposits and payment installments on a case by case basis.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Where Sheila’s Home Baked Creations must cancel the booking due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstance that affects the ability to provide the ordered Product, the deposit will be refunded within fourteen (14) days of notification to the Customer.
PICKUPS
It is the responsibility of the Customer to check the state of the product before leaving the premises. Once the item(s) has left the premises, the Customer is responsible to ensure that products gets to its destination safely and is stored as per our instructions to achieve best results for taste and quality.
DELIVERY/TRANSPORT
Baked goods should be transported in a cool envirionment. Heat should be minimized in the winters, and A/C should be utilized during warmer months. Cakes need to be transported flat to avoid shifting of any layers and disturbing buttercream. Any hard braking, sudden movements, or sharp turns can weaken the cake’s structure. Placing items on the car seat, or holding on a lap is a risk and Sheila’s Home Baked Creations will not be liable for.
Sheila’s Home Baked Creations offers delivery for certain products. Delivery can be offered at our discretion and will be charged a fee if it’s not an already included service.
Delivery fees start at $5 for destinations within 10 mile radius of Plover, WI 54467. For delivery destinations between 10-20 miles from Plover, WI 54467, charges increase to $10. Any destination greater than 20 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the standard federal rate of $0.75 per mile round trip.
Delivery will be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner. Once delivered to the customer and change of hands has been completed with the product in appropriate condition, it is then up to the customer to store and care for the baked goods as per given instructions. If anything is to happen to the baked goods after this exchange, Sheila’s Home Baked Creations will not liable for any damages.
A delivery date and time will be agreed by both parties. If the customer is not at the location at the agreed upon date and time, and I am unable to contact the customer, the product will be transported back to Sheila’s Home Baked Creations premises and it will be the customer’s responsibility to collect the product.
Any product unclaimed after 24 hours will be eligible to be donated or resold at a discount. No refunds will be provided for unclaimed items.
PUBLICATION
We reserve the right to use any image of a Product made by us for publication at a later date.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Subscriptions are offered with various benefits depending on the option selected.
If a payment is unsuccessful in processing, the subscription will be cancelled and will require a new subscription.
No refunds will be offered.
All subscriptions are for pick up unless specifically outlined in the option purchased. Pick up is arranged for a day at the end of the month on a pre-arranged day and time. If the customer is unable to pick up at the arranged date and time, Sheila’s Home Baked Creations must be notified for an alternate option. Any product remaining unclaimed after 24 hours will be donated or posted for resale.
DAMAGE
If a third party will be collecting the cake on the customer’s behalf, that person is responsible for confirming the item is received in good condition at the time of pickup/delivery.
PICKUP
The Customer is liable for any damage, accident, or mishap that may occur once the purchased baked goods are released from the care of Sheila’s Home Baked Creations. Sheila’s Home Baked Creations is not liable for any damage that may occur thereafter.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT POLICY
POSTPONEMENT
If, for any reason the event is required to be postponed, please contact Sheila’s Home Baked Creations immediately.
The new date proposed will be subject to availability.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS
No refunds are issued except for the following:
* Sheila’s Home Baked Creations is unable to fulfill the order due to unforeseen injury or illness. While this is rare, Sheila’s Home Baked Creations is a one-person home bakery and all precautions will be taken to ensure baked goods are made in a safe and hygienic manner.
* If cancellation of the order is required, and the full balance has been paid, and the cancellation is up to one (1) month in advance of your event date, you will receive a refund, less any initial deposit and the cost of any supplies already purchased for your baked goods.
* Any cancellation less than a month but greater than 14 days, store credit may be issued at the discretion of Sheila’s Home Baked Creations.
* If the cancellation is less than seven (7) days prior to your event, there will be absolutely no refunds or store credit given.
Refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation, when refund timeframes have been met.
